Iris Koser's Chocolate Furniture came to our attention after a reader over at Unplggd pointed out her work would complement our roundup of chocolate themed tech. And indeed, the convertible seating/day bed not only looks like a chocolate bar, with a matching aluminum foil blanket and table complete the effect, but also includes a hidden safe deposit box designed to safely keep a few real bars within reach.
The Chocolate Furniture line was Iris Koser's thesis project, complete with additional detailing such chocolate scent incorporated into the seat cushions, and memory foam that "melts" as body heat helps transform the shape of the seating. Fun idea, but dangerous in the fact we'd always want to take a bite out of furniture.

I am offended at how objectifying and sexualizing these pictures are. Do we need such pictures on a design blog? Geez.
Okay... I don't see any objectifying or sexualizing in these pictures. I didn't even pay attention to the person in the pictures until I read the above comment.
Anyway... I think this couch is cool. It doesn't go with my decor, but the concept is very, very cool.
Agreed, Elbie. I don't see any objectifying (except of that chocolate bar in the last image!)
I don't think I'd be able to have this in my house; it reminds me too much of real chocolate and I know I'd just find myself chewing on the furniture.
