We love (just about) everything about flying. The anticipation, the packing -- even the cramped flights. But there's one part of airline travel that we dread. Can you guess what it is?
It's picking up our luggage at the baggage carousel. For us, nothing is as stressful as those moments. We stand near the chute, waiting for our bag to tumble down, cursing ourselves for going over our personal baggage limit of one small roll-on (yes, even if we're traveling for a month or two) and having been forced to check a bag. Most of the time, things turn out okay. We see our suitcase coming around the bend and we rush to greet it like a long-lost friend. But once or twice we've found ourselves still in baggage claim, our fellow passengers long since scattered, a cold feeling washing over us as we face the brutal truth: we've made it to our destination but our bag hasn't.
If this is you, you might want to check out Is This Your Luggage?, a photo collection of pieces of lost luggage, unpacked and photographed, looking for their owners. For the rest of us, the website satisfies our curiosity and answers the question we've all asked ourselves: "What are you packing?"
