Name: Issy Eyre
Location: London, United Kingdom
I have a small balcony on my top floor flat which I have covered with beautiful soft fake grass and planted salads and scented flowers in old fruit crates. I have a woolly pocket vertical planter with architectural ferns in it and outdoor cushions to lounge on. I love hiding on it with a book or some work, watching the world go by beneath me.
You can find out more about Issy's balcony garden on her blog, Fennel & Fern. Check out her posts about woolly pockets, adding fake grass to the balcony, and working from home on her tiny balcony.
Thanks, Issy!

I did not know there was artificial turf that was soft underfoot. It looks wonderful and, even though I would not usually like an artificial lawn, I think this one is brilliant.
I love this! I have always looked the idea of using grass (real or fake) as flooring for places other than your lawn.
I've been looking for something like this recently. I'm also in the midst of planning some sort of cage/hutch of sorts that the cat can't escape from so he can sit outside with me as well.
I wish my apartment was in London- perhaps then my astroturf porch would be en vogue.
We're looking to do something like this on our patio. The lazy person in me wishes that the company she used was from the US so I could just order from them. If anyone has this type of cover and has used a US company that they liked, I'd love any recommendations. Thanks
@Arlingtonchick - don't worry, I'm from england and I tend to feel exactly like that whenever I see a project on here with american supliers. I'm sure you will manage to find someone who can suply it over your side of the pond too (and most likely in several more varieties than we can get over here!)
