Since it's bathroom month, we took a close look at our own.
In a bathroom of small proportions with an unattractive, almost-white radiator taking up precious space, we decided that since we couldn't hide it, we may as well focus on it.
Using simple materials (a can of glossy black spray paint and two large pieces of cardboard to protect the wall and floor), our chipped up, in-the-way necessity became a much more attractive object and heating source. Now the black diamonds on the floor tiles pop and the glossy black makes things seem cleaner than the old "white."
This small bathroom also has a large side wall, with the impossibility (think knocking your head) of adding functional shelving. We had an old full-length mirror from Target, with no use for it in the bedroom. Since the wall was not only tall, but also unusually wide, we flipped the typically vertical mirror on its side, and a larger, more reflective bathroom was born.
