Setting their latest photo shoot at the 1902 Astor Courts (built by Stanford White for John Jacob Astor IV), J. Crew gave us a catalog with notes throughout that have nothing to do with the merchandise for sale. In their words: "As the story goes, the magnificent pool at Astor Courts was the first of its kind built for an American residence."
We are, however, still baffled that the catalog included notes on how to "peg" your jeans. Woah.

I wondered how the new owners were going to make some money to pay for that restoration. Next up--Sex and the City sequel.

And as Stephen Colbert would say:
Tip of the hat for a new j.crew catalog
Wag of the Finger for "pegging" your pants, yikes!
