Jack has been featured on Apartment Therapy before, once as part of our Smallest Coolest Contest back in 2007, then again when he made Micro Changes. Now we get to peek at his former residence where he had a little more space to fill.
Pulling inspiration from all things pop, Jack lived among art as evident by the tomato clad kitchen. An artist himself, most of the works around the home like the Star Trek cutouts and beer can statues are original pieces from his Pruitt-Early days.

Pruitt-Early works can now be seen at The Tate Modern and Jack recently had a show Southfirst Gallery in Brooklyn where viewers wondered around a three dimensional DeGlow rainbow while songs he wrote played from an all- white Victrola.

We have that trash can. Absolutely impossible to keep shiny like that, and you definitely cannot use it for food waste. It's impossible to scrape a plate off into it, it's more for looks.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
the use of the Jack Daniels boxes is a cool cheap great looking storage idea (unless that's some art installation I'm too dumb to recognize)
......... or those Jack Daniel's boxes are filled with Jack Daniel's. You never know.
Anyway, very cool space. I was going to say that I really love that trash can, but cassielynn burst my bubble. I guess I should say thank you because I was about to ask where I could get one. :)
I saw that same "island" in another post. Does anyone know where you can get that one or a similar one?? I love it!
on the "island" I think it's vintage--at least my aunt has had one for 30 years exactly like it.
There is a company called Boos in Illinois that makes them. I have a similar one and love it.

Love it. So many clever ideas. Very impressive.
those cannabis prints are siik.
I'll 2nd cassielynn's comment about the chrome bullet trashcan. I spent a small fortune on one: It looked fantastic, but was incredibly impractical in the kitchen.
I'm a big fan of Jack's small place. Not at all surprised to see that his old big place was pretty great, too.
Re the chrome bullet can: Turtle Wax, my friends. A former roommate of mine had the same can, and he kept it shiny and fabulous with TW.
love the Star Trek posters
This is one of the best AT homes ever. So creative!
What color blue is that?
Those cannabis posters are just bad taste materialized
great place, Jack. love the abundance of natural light
my only critcism: not enough Campbell soup motifs in the kitchen
;-)
I have the bullet garbage can in white. It's great. I have no problems what so ever with it- I've had it for over 7 years.
I don't have to worry about keeping it shiny, and I don't have a problem scraping food waste into it. The only issue I have is that it's so big I often have to throw the garbage out before it gets full if something is stinky in it.
This is a great place! I like the metallic ceilings!
