Jack's Room Grows Up

My Room

Name: Jack (4)
Location: Royal Oak, Michigan

We had a pretty seamless transition from Jack's nursery to a "big boy" room because we decided to keep the existing wall color along with the airplane mural painted by a family friend. With keeping the light blue walls, we focused on bringing in more navy tones and bright yellow as an accent. Our goal was to create a fun and cozy space that he would enjoy (and sleep well in!).

The changing-table-turned-bookshelf was handmade by Jack's grandfather, and the dresser is a hand-me-down. I created the no-sew window valences with fabric purchased online, and the table and chairs are from Ikea. We use the bean bag chair as stuffed animal storage, and purchased the chair cover and bicycle throw pillow from Etsy.

Thanks, Amanda!
