Name: Jack
Location: Tennessee
When my little guy turned 3, I felt it was time to move out the really baby stuff and bring in stuff that reflected his interests and style, as well as mine.
We love vintage and he loves trucks and trains. Luckily, our child has also embraced the vintage and prefers "old trucks" to the new ones in packages. He has a really small room, so storage is important to us. We wanted it to be a fun space, but not too cluttered to spread out and play, so we couldn't have a lot of furniture.
The furniture is all vintage (the tall chest was my grandpa's and then mine) with the exception of the bookshelves which my husband made. We are still looking for a great piece to have more space for books. He also made the chalk art above the bed. I built the teepee and most all the art and accessories are vintage or from etsy. We did this on a pretty slim budget just painting items that we already had or repurposing a old fruit crate to hold books. He loves it and it is a pretty fun room!
Thanks Michelle! Readers, see more of Jack's room on Michelle's blog, Vintage Junky (she also has an Etsy shop by the same name).

I love this room, especially that sweet little reading corner. Thanks so much for sharing it!
And, not to get all political about it, but there's a teepee in it. And I think that's ok. Please, Apartment Therapy readers, don't bully Michelle. It appears that Sharon from Ziggity Zoom was hounded off the site earlier today for a similar structure.
Also loving this room !! I love the color, the decor, the teepee, everything. I wish you could have taken an overall shot though, it's hard to get a sense of the layout, but I went to your site and got a better idea.
I'm saving some photos for a future inspiration, as my son's room has that same wall color !
This is so cute, I love the campfire pillow! My son would love this room!
I, too, love the campfire pillow! And I ditto this: "And, not to get all political about it, but there's a teepee in it. And I think that's ok."
I love this room. The chalk board painting above the bed is so cute. I was wondering where I could get one. :) And I love that you also made the teepee reading nook. I have no idea about what the previous controversy was about but it's a magical space. Well done.
Ohhhhhh, perfect. The campfire pillow it's similar to the men's collection of David Delfin designer
Wait, what's wrong with a teepee? I LOVE the teepee! Is it culturally insensitive to Native Americans? Why couldn't it be a teaching opportunity to educate kids about Native American cultures? Or is that getting too political?
Anyway, I really love this room and think you did a great job!
This is way beyond adorable. Super sweet. I also love the teepee AND the pillow. Now I want to make a similar pillow, but I'm hopeless with a needle and thread... oh well. Your little guy has great taste and he reads: congratulations, you must be a proud mama. :)
This room is fantastic! My favorite part is the Arrivals/Departure board. So unique!
