Neighborhood: Soulard
City: St. Louis, Missouri
My Home: 3-bedroom townhome/rowhouse
This quaint neighborhood is just South of downtown Saint Louis. It's a common location for many city-wide activities, from Mardi Gras to running and street bike races. The old red brick historic district boasts gorgeously restored row houses and town homes.

The St. Louis area has tons of great neighborhoods, Soulard, Washington, U-city, and the Kirkwood-Webster area (that's more small town) to name a few.
Gorgeous neighborhood but that Mardi Gras photo would be enough to put me off living there.
As a St. Louis native I think it's awesome to feature some of our architecture! While living in other areas of the country, I always get homesick for our old buildings! Thanks!
Makes me wish I'd purchased a house in Lafayette Square when I lived in St. Louis aeons ago, instead of moving to Phoenix. Those gorgeous places were going for peanuts, though most of them were just shells at the time.
Aw this post makes me very happy, since I used to live in Soulard before moving to New York :)
This makes me happy too! Grew up near Tower Grove Park but our church was in Soulard. Such a great 'hood.
Soulard is an amazing neighborhood. Glad to see this-- the architecture of historic St. Louis is just incredible. And the farmer's market is so much more than just a farmer's market!
Soulard Coffee Garden is my go-to brunch location! Thanks for featuring.
