Name: James
Location: Birmingham, AL
I wanted a room that looked like the rest of the house - I did not want a major theme or a room that screamed "baby!" I find myself drawn to a mix of cottage chic, Anthropologie Bohemia, and French decor.
I LOVE Etsy and Spoonflower so used them for the special touches. My favorite find might be the large white and blue linen that was my grandmother's in her sunroom, in its original frame!

Totally gonna grammar nerd this out- it's James' not James's. As someone who's name ends in "s" it's something I'm used to correcting ;-P
Actually James's is correct: http://www.englishrules.com/writing/2005/possessive-form-of-singular-nouns-ending-with-s/
You need to stop correcting people!
Love the color scheme of this room. The daybed vignette is gorgeous..
Megan in AZ, huh! Well I learned something new today! Actually if you read that link, both are technically correct, s's is the first choice, just depends how you prefer to do it. I was taught way back when in school to do it after an s name (and clearly remember getting called out for doing it incorrectly to my own name by my teacher!) so that's how I have/will do it. Force of habit (and I named my son James, so I got an s name again!)
And I do agree- this is a lovely room. Just wish the photos didn't look so filtered so we could see the colors a little clearer :)
Why do the photos look so washed out? Is this a technique? It's hard to see any of the color choices or really much about the room at all.
I like the mobile. It immediately made me think of the American Museum of Natural History and the great room with the whale overhead :) The room is nice. A bit drab for my tastes but does look cozy and a great place to cuddle and sleep.
