SUN OR SHADE?: Shade...but I wish I was sun.

THE COLOR OF SUMMER 2010: I think the folks over at Pantone said it best with their description of Eucalyptus — a versatile soft gray which will transcend seasons and provides an elegant backdrop to add dramatic pops of color from brightly-colored accessories.

ALL TIME FAVORITE VACATION LOCATION: Haad Salad, a simple and secluded beach on Koh Phangan in Thailand. When I stayed there years ago there wasn't much more than a few huts lining the beach. Perfection.

MOST REFRESHING SUMMERTIME DRINK: This is the year of the Aperol spritzer. Thank you Johnny.

PLANTED IN THE GARDEN THIS YEAR: I'm a bit of a brown thumb.

ESSENTIAL SUMMER SONG FOR PARTY PLAYLIST: Last summer it was Tom Petty, American Girl. This summers essential song has yet to reveal itself.

BEST BOOK IN THE BEACHBAG: These days I usually opt for the quick read in Monocle or flip through World of Interiors - both are an excellent choice for the beach.
