Room for Color
I love it that you got a dog with a neutral color so it fits right in with any color scheme!
I like the stenciling and the furbabies are cute.
You manage to make orange a neutral color. Nicely done.
Class of 65: Maybe it was meant to be a joke but Animals are not accessories in any color. Shame on you.
The first picture is not the most fortunate choice to showcase how pretty the room is (it's too much solid orange for one taking). But I went through all of the pictures and it is, indeed, a very pretty and fresh-looking room. And the plants add a very nice touch. I hope they're real, not plastic.
Jamila must be in a really good mood all the time :)
First...LOVE the color choice. I'm becoming a fan of orange. Such a brave choice! Love what you've done with it. Picture #2 really should be your first photo because it really shows how great you were able to work with the color and make it soothing.
Second..@LyonStill - take a chill pill and calm down. Geez! My furbaby matches my color scheme too. ;) LOL!
Love the orange and taupe together ~ a unique and sophisticated combo!
orange has become one of my favorite colors. this was nicely done.
Animals aren't accessories, they're food!
So shame, shame, shamity shame shame on me. Geez Louise........
Lovely room! Its the kind of place I would like to sit with a hot cocoa and simply feel happy!
Is that a Bichon?! <She asks with a squeal of excitement> Best dogs in the world!
I agree vintage birthday I really love this combo and the stenciling is truly inspiring me to get up and do my apartment...you've inspired me Jamila Thankz !!!
Thank you everyone for making me your favorite!! I truly enjoy design and hopefully will be able to help others. Yes that is a Bichon, and a Jack Russell(sitting on the ledge of the window if you look closely). I am glad I have inspired many of you that is my goal :)
love the orange and the plants!
I know this contest is all about color but I can't help but notice that the furniture all seems to be on one side of the room. and it looks a little overwhelmed with stuff, like pillows. Either way Orange isn't my favorite color, but it looks nice in your space. Maybe the white dogs, rugs, and coffee table/ottoman offset it.
Thank you Steenkbug!
This is a very warm, pretty room. I bet it's even moreso in real life. Love your couch, pets and plants.
OMG...I can just step right into this picture with my pajamas, fuzzy slippers and hot coffee and just relax. Wonderful work. Again, this is just another one of your many, many talents.
Love the brightness that the orange brings to the space. I am more prone to neutrals, and playin it safe, but as someone commented you managed to make orange a neutral. You have done a great job!
The room has a tranqulity about it ...even the animals seem at peace in the picture. The colors bring you in to a sense of warmth and space at the same time. The orange is bright, but not overwhelming and harsh. Love your space!
Such a bright and cheerful room!! I love your little dog stretched out like a piece of furniture in the first photo. So cute! You have a Jack Russell and two additional pets? You must have an enormous amount of energy for the JRT alone.
The large window area is awesome & I love the orange.
We once had a canine family member who, quite unintentionally, matched both our family's hair and eye color (green, goldish brown) AND the carpet.
This room looks so comfy... well-done! :)
