jan & äya: Little Things in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

jan and aya is one of the stores in Greenpoint making Franklin Street a shopping destination. They are committed to celebrating the handmade, finding those little things that can make your home unique.

The hanging glass globes can be filled with water and flowers and used as vases.

Many of the items in jan & äya are made by local designers. Each month, the store holds an art opening and rotates all of the art. They've also held two Greenpoint Design Conferences this fall, where local designers have shared their thoughts and work process with the community.

Most things seemed reasonably priced, although our favorite thing in the store was probably the most expensive. We just loved the mixed media deer sculpture in the window, which was priced at $900.
