Jane's Soft, Mint Nursery

My Room

Name: Jane
Location: Chicago, IL

I knew I wanted to create a simple, somewhat neutral space for our baby since the space is very small and I knew it could look cluttered very easily. I was originally inspired by the soft ocean-like colors in the rug but threw in some other fun colors as we added more details.

I have been in "nesting" mode this entire pregnancy and had fun crafting things I never would have attempted before. I sewed the basket liners and the purple flag banner, and my husband and I repainted the changing table. We are on a budget, and so we spent very little on our nursery. IKEA and thrift stores were our best friends. For instance, we bought the crib and bookshelf at IKEA and the chair and changing table from thrift stores. This room feels so peaceful and bright and is by far my favorite room in our apartment. I look forward to taking more photos of Jane in her space in just a month or two!

Thanks, Abigail!
