No matter where you are at in your quest toward the optimum level of "clean and organized" that makes you feel happy at home, I hope this January Cure moved you closer to your goal. I hope you've picked up some ideas, experiences and strategies that you can continue to use, throughout the year to keep on moving forward, until, at one point, you realize you are already (finally!) there. The Cure is a month worth of assignments that we, as a group, all help each other to get through, a giant kickstart to the new year and now, its up to you to keep it going and the secret to success is simple...

It's this: just don't stop; each day of 2017 that you do something - anything - good for your home will make a difference.

Today's Assignment:

Just keep on doing something good for your home, everyday!

You can stay on track - here's how: Just take it one day at a time, little by little. You know how to do this. Remember how effective it is to clean and declutter just one drawer, how much you can actually get done in 30 (or even 3!) minutes and how great it feels when your floors are freshly scrubbed. You know that you can power through a bedroom or kitchen (inside and out!) or bathroom deep clean with an interesting podcast or fun playlist going in the background. You know its helpful to gain some perspective to help focus your efforts, and that its good to take a break for some quiet time. Don't forget to lighten up every now and then. Keep an eye on your list of projects that you'd like to accomplish and try and cross a few off this year. And, of course, don't ever get rid of your outbox!

(And stay tuned for our next Cure group project - this year we are planning to do a program of Spring Cleaning in 20 Minutes a Day and I hope you'll all join in. We're finalizing the program details right now and I'll be emailing you to sign up soon!)

For those of you hosting a Cure-end gathering, I hope it's a wonderful way to wrap up this experience and that you and your fellow-gatherers have fun!

If you aren't hosting, try to find time this week to make yourself a favorite meal or whatever else will make you happy and content at home - you deserve it.

As I've said before, I love January, thanks to my work on the Cure. The level of support and kindness and community that forms over a simple set of common assignments and a shared goal never ceases to amaze me. It gives me hope and happiness! It's a joy to be part of the experience and I thank you all.

Now, onward with your efforts and stay busy! I hope to see you for Spring Cleaning in 20 Minutes a Day, so we can all knock out the big jobs in small bites, one day at a time! And, the 2017 Weekend Projects will be starting up soon, too, so we can keep on making improvements together.
