We recently revisited the work of Jason Lewis in the March '07 issue of Chicago magazine.
A small blurb on the local furniture designer in the Made in Chicago section on p. 70 points to Lewis, a Rockford native, as an apprentice to local Bauhaus guru Berthold Schwaiger. These are beautiful- both airy and substantial. Thanks for the link.
It was always my intention to take classes at Bauhaus- such beautiful work being done there - but they have suspended instruction in the wake of Shwaiger's passing. I would love to find another place offering furniture instruction for the artistically inclined.
