Name: Jay
Location: Silver Lake — Los Angeles, California
Our home was built by the first Chinese-American architect to be granted a license in Los Angeles, Eugene Choy. In 2008 we hired an architect to update the house to fit the way we live today.
The original architect's son is also an architect, Barton Choy, and paid us the ultimate compliment, when he told us that, "My father would have loved it!"
Thanks Jay!

Nomade Express Slee...
LOVE
I feel like I've seen that first image before. But I don't care. This place looks beautiful! More please.
Is it just me, or is there a little man on the wall in the upper right hand corner of the first image of the bedroom? I thought for a second maybe it's a crucifix hanging off the wall but it doesn't look like it.
i really like the painting in the bedroom, and I do think it's a man running on that wall :)
House Tour please! With pics from both inside AND outside. I second unabridged - more please!
I think the man running on the wall might be a nod to the runner in the opening ceremony during the Olympics in China. I want one!
Love!
I absolutely love this and second everyone that has asked for a full tour...
And better photos too, please. Sorry, these are a little fuzzy...
Where does one get a desk like that? LOVE.
Thanks for the nice comments. Sorry the photos are bad. I took them with my cell phone and submitted them, just to show AT the house - I didn't think they'd be used on here. Would love to show the whole house. The floating man is paper mache - he's from Spain - and he hangs (floats) from the ceiling. The desk is Poul Cadovius (Cado Unit) and we got it at the best store in Palm Springs - Hedge - http://www.hedgepalmsprings.com/ .
Muesli and anyone else who might be interested, the painting in the first photo came from www.hangart.com. (I can't source the floating man.)
Love the bed - who makes it?
Thanks, AST. The bed and the bedroom cabinets were custom made by Forma Design. http://www.formadb.com/Company.html
