We caught a bunch of commercials over the weekend while watching the Oscars and were especially intrigued by JC Penny and their American Living Collection ads. So we looked it up and were surprised not by anything they had advertised but by their selection of mirrors:

We were most surprised by the range of styles they carry--from sleek and modern to shabby chic-french provencal, to 60's starbursts. Has anyone bought any of these? Anyone have feedback on the quality? We would err on the side of caution and say that these wouldn't be family heirlooms (quality-wise) but if anyone has first hand experience with these we'd love to hear!

You can see the entire collection on the JC Penny website.

Yes...very surprising and also exciting! JCP has great sales!
the 'American Living' stuff is from Ralph Lauren.
I've been impressed with their curtains lately...and I'm a JCP-hater from way back.
glad you looked into this!
I have a set of silk curtains from JCP, and I think they're pretty fab (not heirloom quality, but then again, neither is my rented apartment!).
the black one with the curved top-where is it on the site? I can't find it.
I won't chime in on the quality of JCP...but those ads on the Oscars were really remarkable... I would never say something like that, but I was moved to because they got something right.
JCP
JCP has REALLY given themselves quite a makeover the past few years......and their consistent sales gains proves that it's really working.
Check out the online outlet from the JCP home page for some really great deals.
