In recognition of New York Fashion Week it's only fitting that we highlight the new work of Jean Paul Gaultier, who has teamed up with furniture design house Roche Bobois to produce a collection of upholstered goods for the home.
Gaultier, the fashion god best-known for designing man-skirts, Madonna's cone bra, and anything at all shocking or controversial, brings us his vision of home. Judging by the collection, Chez Gaultier would have corseted pillows, mirrored wardrobe suitcases, and his name applied to every surface possible. There would be a fantastical mix of florals, stripes, and lush textures mixed in with unique furniture pieces.
It is interesting to see how this creative mind transitions into the shelter category that we're all so used to exploring.

Talking about interior design porn......
The couch and the steamer trunk are cool as hell! Not something I can afford, but definitely gives us all something to think about next time we re-upholster or repaint something!
I want to see the price list. That is all.
That's it - I'm putting all my pillows on the stairs right now...!
