Studio City — Los Angeles, California
My boyfriend and I moved into this apartment in May. I knew it was an amazing apartment the moment I walked in and saw the floor to ceiling windows. Though they are beautiful, the close to 30 feet ceilings posed some decorating challenges. To add to the challenges, we moved from a one bedroom to this two bedroom with loft space so we had to make our current stuff work and find new stuff to fit the space without breaking the bank.
This type of apartment is unusual for the neighborhood (I viewed about 9 or 10 before choosing this one) with all the natural light and Spanish type detailing (Spanish tile floors, fireplace with tile etc.) I wanted the space to be full of color but not fight with the color of floors, and I wanted the bedroom to be comfortable but with pops of color.
The landlord had painted the apartment already so I did not get to choose the wall colors but she allowed me to repaint the master bedroom and bathroom from a pepto bismol pink to the more neutral colors you see here.
