Name: Jennifer, Andrew and Little One (our cat)
Location: Paris, France (15th arrondissement)
We moved to Paris from Philadelphia in March of this year and have found the journey to be an amazing one. However, one of our greatest hurdles was finding an apartment that would serve well as a home and office – and also have enough space for family and friends to visit. After checking out many flats that required a tremendous amount of work – something we wanted to avoid as renters – we stumbled across this one in the 15th arrondissement.
Our 84 sq m apartment – which is situated in a 19th-century Haussmannian building – has four period fireplaces (one in each bedroom and two in the sejour). Each room has its original decorative crown molding—and the molding designs coordinate perfectly with the mirror frames situated over the fireplaces. Additionally, the apartment has its original wood floors and the owner installed closets in each of the bedrooms (something that we have found to be rare in Paris). After moving in, however, we covered the heavily damaged concrete floor in the kitchen with floating laminate boards and painted the office (second bedroom), kitchen and bathroom in warm colors to give the space a “homey” feel. We also brought with us some of our furniture and artwork from the States – which gives the space a “home away from home” feel.
Thanks, Jennifer !

Looks really nice.
Tres chic!
That looks wonderful! I would love to see more.
This is gorgeous. So jealous--you live in Paris AND in a Haussmannian apartment! I especially love the living room and kitchen.
ee! so jealous!
is it a studio or a 1br?
I always find the back story of one moving to Paris just as interesting as the decor posts. Dying to move there myself but will have visa issues, etc. and wondering why does it seem like everyone else is able to just pick up and move there???!!!!
Beautiful! Is there going to be a house tour on this? I'd love to see more!
From what I can see of it, it does look cozy and welcoming. And the fireplaces are wonderful.
As for the candles, it's just a personal pet peeve, but I do not like an interior shot that includes candles that have never been lit. It really bugs me.
Wow! this is a beautiful place!
je t'aime!
Your apartment is beautiful. I would like to see more too.
"Home away from home"? Is it a temporary arrangement? (But still doing something with the floors, huh!)
Want to see more!
Jealous.
Why did you move? What do you do for work?
How have you come to speak to us Americans in square meters? :)
So Painfully Lovely.
[I'd give anything to live in Paris. Do you need a errand monkey? Can you find me a spouse? Perhaps an important French study on brain dysfunction? Oh *sigh, shuddering sigh...]
Wonderful. I love the fireplace mantles: so very Paris.
C'est formidable! L'utilisation d'espace demontre de la pensee. Je suis jalouse :)
I love it and love that vignette with the candles. I've just moved over to Paris myself (in the 17th) last week to move in with bf, I'm an interior designer by profession. We are having the living room painted as I speak, trying to make it a home. You lucked out with closets and a nice kitchen considering, I want your landlord! Hope you have a great time, and if you are in the need of support over here pls contact me at missmosdaph@gmail.com

Mi Casa is very happy for you two what ever it took for you to arrive in Paris. I dream alone.
I love your apartment, it's so Parisian, love everything about the architecture, the way you have things arranged in it, especially those 'french' doors. This has my name all over it,...hope all works out well for you..I also love that your getting all this support from others that live in Paris like your neighbor Daphne who is most gracious with her support and help. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home, most people can only dream about living in a place like this, and you are living it!!
Cute and yes, light the candles. Pics of new unlit candles are a no go.
Full tour please!
Lucky lucky you. The place looks great, more please!
I don't know how I feel about the red couches...but whatever, you live in Paris! Swoon.
And no one mentioned the "Keep Calm"! I think that's a first.
