- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love the 1950's character and charm, the original details, coziness and beautiful sunlight.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- The biggest challenge I have is where to put everything. Almost every inch of wall space is used displaying my own photography, friends' art, and items I have collected traveling. It can probably be overwhelming to some, but to me, it is an eclectic diary of my life and memories.

I like the photo wall! And the orange and green look really good together.
That stove is beautiful!!
I love the green wall color.
I like this place, but this is a good opportunity to confess that I don't understand why people spend money on and make a display of buying records but then play them on those POS retro all-in-one contraptions that sound terrible and don't even play at the correct speed. But then it is not about the music, is it?
I love the green wall color. And how the couch unexpectedly looks good up against it! My place is kind of "overwhelming" to some, too, but to me it's perfect.
@JefferyK - Not sure what you mean there. There are two record players in the photo, and for all you know, the quality is just fine. Lots of people are still bemoaning the quality loss associated with digital music. It's kind of time to let this one go and let people float their own boats however they wish.
Not at all my style, but loaded with personality. Favorited!
Ha..you know, I didn't even notice the dogs there! Great job on the home. It's very nice, and I like how you covered the closet doors. If you pop into the comments, please let us know your source for that material and how you did it :)
Nice kitchen. I especially like the kitchen floor.
Your floorplan cracked me up! Goodluck :)
Another fan of the green walls! (and the dogs, of course)
The green walls in contrast with hardwood floors and the stripe rug work really well together! My favorite was the photo wall. Good Luck!
I really love this space!
I love it, it's loaded with personality and interesting things. I like the fact that you have real-live wax albums and cds and not just downloads, and I would love to know what music you have in your collection.
I think the green walls are divine, and they definitely go with the eclectic decor you have going on in your home.
Your massive photo wall is great!
love the curved sectional!
The green looks a lot like Ralph Lauren's "Palm Leaf," which a Home Depot employee fortunately turned me on to before it was discontinued. I have it in my office, which looks out onto trees, and it draws the eye out incredibly, as well as looking great when the curtains are drawn.
Pi, the birch-tree panels are an Ikea item, for use with their Kvartal track system; but I'm afraid they too might have been discontinued, at least they're not in the 2012 catalog
Love the green!!!
my first favorite so far (to be fair, I'm reading out of order in my blogreader, so there could be some earlier submissions that earn a fave." I love the colors of the walls and couch, the polaroid wall and the ombre blanket on the bed. Also, is it just me or does the stovefront have two little faces on it? (knobs plus handles on the left and right sides)?

I like the colors in the living room. Love the vintage stove. The only thing I don't like are the magenta curtains in the dining area. I've never liked curtains pulled together and tied in the middle like that. It's a personal thing, I guess.
I just now saw the dogs in the living room. They are so cute. They look like accessories!
@Jeffreyk I'm not sure what the importance is of putting down someone's means of listening to music. Some people listen to music through the free headphones that came with their MP3 player. Quite frankly, I enjoy seeing a person bother getting vinyl at all. I love even more that someone bothered enough to hold onto their vinyl and use it as a part of their small space. All that vinyl could fit onto a tiny thumb drive, but she chose to keep it where all can see. Good job Jennifer.
Love the stove, and that green wall really is a bold choice that paid off well. It looks like a great place to come home to to relax!
My favorite by far! That color is wonderful! As a longtime renter I crave color so much. The record display is great too.
Awesome stove!
you had me 'til the bedroom. the rest is not bad though.
Hi Jennifer , I really like your style and the two poochs are sweet. It looks like a place for a good chat and a cup of tea. The bedroom is my least favourite place, but we are all different, I adore the green and wood contrast and that stove is to die for. Enjoy it.
I too love that you have a record collection! To the cynical - I'm sure at least one of Jennifer's players has great sound - otherwise why have records at all? Nobody would go to such lengths just for show.
Having a traditional record player requires a receiver and box speakers- and while the sound quality may be more authentic- it's just not practical in a small space. It's all about doing the best with what we have- and that's not always perfect!
Makes me want to go green...:)
I love the green walls and the way you tied the purple curtains in the middle.
Love the photo wall...another inspriation I'm stealing.
The green. And the photo wall and YES the dining table. beautiful.
Love your stove!
the chaise and the stove are my favourite ... loads of character .. Good luck !
Love the wall with all the pictures! Anyone mind sharing how you did it???
Love your sectional!
I love places with a lot of art and whatnot on display. There's so much to look at! I love the green, too.
The magenta curtains with the green walls is brilliant. I also find your organization to be very calming. Really love the fallen log on the bed. Was that intentional? It goes well with the forest curtains and is an unexpected twist.
I LOVE YOUR STOVE AND THE DOGS
