Name: Jennifer
Location: Everson, Washington
We bought our 1,000 foot home 17 years ago and have done lots of cosmetic updates including laminate floors, new kitchen counter, sink, faucets, new paint (a zillion different times). It's a ranch style house in a rural subdivision.
We're about 20 minutes south of the us/canada border and about 85 miles north of Seattle, WA. We have two whippets and we feed all the neighbor feral cats as well. We love our home. People tell us it's a surprise on the inside. The house looks like all the others from the outside.
Thanks, Jennifer!

Nomade Express Slee...
So pretty and white...and with all those pets!!!
Jennifer, you had a vision of the house regardless what the outside might look like, and you brought forth. All I can say is, i LOVE IT!! We need to do a HT on your house!
I love her little metal St Louis arch in the dining area!
love that mirror in the bathroom, is it vintage or from a store??
I love the painting above the sofa! Where did you get it?
I always love the way white rugs look on wood floors, but I’m not brave enough to try it. How in the world does one KEEP a white rug white?
@JerseyJewel: i love it too, i'm planning to get one for my LR along with a can of scotchgard and hope for the best.
Love it! Seems a little stagey but I love it!
I think that's a mobile in the living room, but it also looks like a wall decal that wraps around the corner onto the drapes. Neat.
I admire the bathroom most because it feels a bit more authentic than the other rooms, but that's not to say I'm not swooning over this sweet house.
Great !!! I just love white!!
:-)
Very lovely! I'll bet it feels extremely cozy.
Jennifer--Well done! Did you paint the existing cabinets in your kitchen or replace them all together?
I really like the pops of green everywhere and the painting over your bed makes me smile. Looking at the pictures of your house makes me feel good and clean and refreshed. Very, very nice.
I have a large white rug in my living room and spot treat it with straight up bleach. So far, so good. We also have a steam cleaner for bigger stains, but I have only brought it out twice in the past year. I still can't believe I thought it was a good idea, but the rug was supercheap and looks awesome. It is not half as bad as I thought!
Nice, looks good and fresh and modern yet unique!
Like the idea of using mirrored panels on the back of the door. Smart idea.
Great pics, but would love to see the outside, too.
Are those Ikea Rast dressers/nightstands in the bedroom? If so, nice paint job. I love how so many people have been able to take those dressers and put their own stamp on them.
This is just too beautiful! I lover your modern NY alter. Don't know why but I've always had a soft spot for home alters.
Thanks for all the great comments. The hanging living room mobile is from Hanging Mobile Gallery in Portland, Oregon. The white rug in liv room is from Ikea. It's all cotton and can be thrown in a commercial washer when dirty ( I have since painted gray stripes on it). the huge fabric wall hanging is one we made from a shower curtain we ordered. The bedroom wall hanging is from a new Ikea fabric. The bedroom side tables are Ikea as well. We painted and added trim to those. The bathroom mirror is from Lowe's and is Allan and Roth. The liv room side task lamps are from West Elm as well as the dining room pendant. This rooms change constantly but I leave a basic white foundation. With all the slipcovers it stays pretty clean even with dogs. Thanks again.
Oh my it looks like a designer lives there. The idea of the mirrors on the door is great. I am going to put that in my idea file. Doors can be so boring.
Is that a piece of fabric that you have mounted on a frame over your couch?
This really is amazing, I hope to be moving abroad within the next year, and am planning on starting from scratch. I had really wanted to make it mostly white and with a rug that can be washed as well, as what looks likes a slipcovered sofa, it shows that anyone who has pets can have a mostly white home.
I actually think it doesn't look stagey as much as it just looks very clean.
I also love the punches of green, I've loved the white with green look ever since I saw this.

Well done!
I love your house! I too own a rancher in a rural area and I love what you've done to update it but preserve its essence. And the display area above your table -- I don't even have words for that! Fabulous!!!
Lovely white, white space (which I personally love!). House tour please!
Beautiful! I'm a bit of a white-obsessee, so your space is right up my alley. Your kitchen, especially, is to die for! And I love the hits of spring green - very fresh and cheery. Nice job!
I completely loved the originality. Jennifer, u r a graphic designer not only by profession, but also by heart. So much that u would want to come back from work to home decorated with graphic designs. Also, I found ur house decor very bold and yet so simple. The colour white could look so bold in spit of its basic simplicity.
Wonderful!!
Very pretty and well put together. Makes me want to clean my house. :)
I love the artwork! (IKEA's fabric)
Very clever.
Not a fan of all the fur in the living room, but other than that your home is lovely. I love all the white, the gray walls and pops from the apple green. Looks very fresh. I also love your art!
P.S. Back for a second look. Your home demonstrates a great understanding for the fact that art should be big. Love it. Hope we get to see a full house tour.
Jen, where did you get the animal faux fur throw that is on the ottoman in your livingroom please? Love it!
I'm devoted to emerald green. Bravo! You use it beautifully. In fact, it's all superb.
what a great space! i love the white with just enough pops of color. an uncluttered look.
Jen, where did you order the shower curtain from? I know I have seen it somewhere before- I love your idea and have looked on west elm, cb2, z gallerie etc and cannot find that shower curtain!!!! I have to have it :) thanks! Does anyone else know??
The living room fabric wall hanging is one we made. This one has a wood stretcher frame and is backed with a heavy canvas tarp. The curtain I ordered from Bed, Bath and Beyond (online only). We use a lot of Ikea fabrics in our wall hangings but sometimes curtain panels or shower curtains catch my eye. The reindeer hide was ordered online from Atlantic Coral Enterprise (found them on ebay). Thank you.
What a fabulous idea! I can't wait to do something similar in my home, thank you so much for sharing!!!!
Very pretty home! I love how you used Ikea products and changed them up. I live just on the other side of the Sumas border :)
This was definitely my favorite.
this house makes me sad.... because i know no matter if i tried my whole life, my house will never look this good.
