Design Evening Recap:

This month, we all gathered at Jipsi Boho to celebrate Creative Art Director/Designer Jenny B's first year in business. An interior designer with fifteen years of experience, Ms. B has a fabulous flair that is truly unique. While she entertained us with stories and ideas, it was truly her Bohemian studio that did all the talking. The place was decorated to the hilt with eye candy everywhere. She and her team of interns decorated the space with everything from twinkly lights, coffee filters to yarn, macaroni (yes macaroni) and clothespins. With the bold colors and the surreal almost set like designs, the overall feel was very Alice In Wonderland meets Vintage Chelsea.

The meeting started at 6:00 p.m. She spoke of her journey and transformation as an Interior Designer to Creative Art Director, gave business/design advice and spoke about the importance of networking. After this, she asked if anyone would like to share what they do, what they're looking for, etc. Attendees talked about looking for everything from guest bloggers for their sites to advice on getting into interior design. The meeting closed with a DIY project, each guest picked out a vintage book and used an origami folding technique to create a work of art to take with them.
