Name: Jenny
Location: King William Historical District — San Antonio, Texas
My miniature cottage is full of my personality — overall quirky and calm. I was blown away with this awesome place to live. It is a historic cottage/renovated wash house in the King William Historic District of San Antonio, Texas.
This neighborhood is south of San Antonio's downtown, and is along the extended River Walk. Since I have moved here, I have been full of life and energy to draw, open an Etsy store, sew, cook, and play piano. The place is super tiny, but I love it, as I am reminded of what is important in life. It helps me live simply, and the huge trees surround me giving me the ability to relax 24/7.
Thanks, Jenny!

Lovely! And so "homey." I love the bird bedspread and shams.
So sweet! Kudos to you for the small home living!
The bedding is from Pottery Barn.
Best area of SA, see you at First Friday.....
JoAnn fabric also has two bird print fabrics now that are similar for the DIY seamstress.
Love this cottage! Bravo to you for paring down and living minimally. You sound totally refreshed (I can see why!)!
Sweetest little cottage ever. I can tell it is tiny, but what is the square footage?
I have the exact same bed! I love the night stand... thrift or store bought?
I love the cottage, but feel a little cheated on info. More?
Thank you for pointing out that there is more to San Antonio than the Riverwalk and the Alamo. The King William District is one of the best historic neighborhoods in Texas. The King William Fair during Fiesta is always worth checking out.
Amazing. I hate San Antonio and am not a fan of the cottage look and yet I am inexplicably pulled in by the coziness! It is extremely charming and the building itself (from what I can see of the picture) has lots of character.
While the kitchen is a trifle cluttered for my taste, everything is pitch perfect. This is 'living' design and it's wonderful!
fantastic windows in the kitchen...would make me want to set up an entertaining area outside and throw open the windows for a party.
great space.
Very, very charming. :-)
So cute!
I would love to have a cute cottage like this except I want in in Northern California. Just love how it is set back and all the windows really offset the fact that is is small.
what is a wash house??
it's a great space, btw!
i'm enchanted- this is my dream home! it'd be great to see more! i.e. bathroom pics? some more pictures of the trees and that cute little dog from the first photo too! GREAT job making this little place your own.
The wash house was an entire house used for laundry! The duvet is from pottery barn :D
i have the same bed too! its crazy there are 3 of us with the same vintage bed :) very cool design... have you ever thought of angling your bed (coming out from the corner) in between the windows? my bed is angled as such; it really adds some depth to the room. love love love your taste!
i've never thought of that, but I've been itching to rearrange some furniture. thanks!
