White Enamel Flatwa...
Ummm... so is this just a turntable or does it have attachments for an mp3 player or CDs too?
The console has a digital audio converter with an Airport Express built into the unit. So it streams digital music wirelessly through a internet connection on any Itunes enabled device, so no docking is required. No CDs, cassettes, eight-tracks, reel-to-reels. :)
Pretty awesome.
Two thumbs up for merging retro and contemporary and bringing music back as part of room design!
Pretty amazing. And I want one. Price range?
Thanks everyone for the positive comments!
The price is pretty high. No apologies, but most cars are manufactured for less! Some of the individual components (like the transformers) cost $900 a piece, so my manufacturing cost was many thousands of dollars. That said, it sounds better than anything you've ever heard and looks fantastic in any home setting.
I've had this conversation a lot with people this year and it really is a lengthy conversation when discussing affordability, value, quality, etc. Some people have no qualms spending $20-30,000 on a car only to discard it several years later because it breaks down, no longer efficient, etc. Others could say $20,000 on a piece of furniture/entertainment decor that will last generations and provide superior quality is a worthy investment. I honestly couldn't afford most of the audio gear I coveted so I had to learn how to build it myself. And that goes for a lot of the furniture we design and make here. Some if it I couldn't afford to purchase. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be made.
Our mission as a design and furniture company is make everything out of the best quality we feel is possible. I would be more than happy to continue this conversation in greater depths over a six pack (or/and bourbon) and a stack of hot wax LPs.
It is amazing. And of course I'd love to own one. So...is the actual price point $20K?
It's $18,000.
Totally awesome. Wouldnt purchase at that price but there are lots of people who would. Needs to incorporate a LCD TV and it would totally be like my grandma's console. Just cooler and no ash trays built in.
