Jesi Haack — a creative stylist for weddings and photoshoots — has an incredibly fresh office. She shares this large space with her husband, photographer Ryan Haack and wedding photographer Aaron Shintaku. Together they've put their DIY skills to good use in creating an organized and welcoming industrial-inspired office with swap meet finds and raw materials.
This office oozes creativity and has an inspired vision of bright walls and fun handmade accessories. Most of the furniture is bright white or made of raw wood material and it all shines under the skylights. They added many features to complete the look: a coffee bar, wood flooring to section off a desk area and — most recently — added a tin wall that separates the entry way from the conference space and desks.
Ryan notes that they discovered the office for rent because they were eating breakfast across the street and that most of the decor/design came from the street, Home Depot, IKEA, or was handmade by Jesi. Aaron states that his favorite thing is the handmade coffee table made of pallets.
It was nice to see three separate meeting areas which could accomodate several groups; a conference table, a "living room" type couch setting and a little waiting nook. I noticed right away the lamp in the entry nook, made of small round wood peices — Jesi said she created it after seeing something similar at Anthropologie. I thought they really honed in on a warm and friendly environment that would be welcoming for any client but inspiring to work in every day.

Love it! Especially the two green chairs :)
It has an outdoors kind of feel to it............... which I like. I think it's because of the green 'grass' rug, the raw materials, the white fold chairs and the skylights. It's creative but doesn't compete with the artwork (photography) and it seems like an organized and inspiring place to work. Congratulations! Oh, and I love the green chairs too! :)

It's amazing that they have made room for three seperate meeting areas while still keeping a spacious feel. But I do think that tall bookshelf makes that alcove with the round table and chairs look very cramped, it could easily be moved to somewhere else and would make a big difference to that area.
I would like to know how to make the lamp shade in the entry nook...without burning my house to the ground. It is exactly what I have been looking for, but I'm not sure what cautionary rules I should follow to make it.
a large mirror on the back wall of the round table would bring both light, depth and reflection of the window in the opposite direction. clever use of recycled items in this office. green goodness!
