Amethysts and emeralds aren't just gemstones. These rich colors are a great way to incorporate a touch of glam into your space. Jewel tones can be used as accents for a pop of color, or as a collection for a more luscious look.

A splash of sapphire on a wall can instantly change the mood in a room. Consider painting an accent wall or opt for an awesome wallpaper print. Check out these removable wallpaper options for those wary of taking the wallpaper plunge.

Art has a similar effect and can be especially powerful if you think big. Collage together a series of prints and photos, or frame a large poster to add those rich colors to your vertical surfaces.

Furniture and accessories are another great way to work in this color palette. If incorporating color is daunting, start with a base and layer in colors of similar value. Using white as a neutral makes your jewel tones pop, while darker grays and blacks have the ability to produce a more intimate affect.
