When I found out we were having a baby girl I didn't really know where to start as I had been in full blown boy mode for over 5 years. So I started gathering ideas and photos of just girly things I liked.
I definitely like feminine but not over the top fru-fru, ya know? And then a look started to come together. "Vintage" is a must in my home but I also wanted her room to have bright fun colors so I did my best to combine the two.
I also really like the homemade look and feel in a home compared to everything looking like it just fell out of the pages of a catalog (stylish or not) so almost everything in my daughter's nursery was handmade or painted by me and I think that gives it the ultimate personal touch. :)
Thanks Chelsea! Readers, see more of Jia's lovely room at At Home with the Hatfields.

This is sweet! It looks like a comfortable, stylish room, without being overly trendy.
You did everything? Wow, simply lovely.
I clicked on the link to see more of the room and I still say WOW but can you please cut the loose strings on the cute ruffle lamp you made. Yes, I know--silly. Some of us just have those dumb pet peeves! :o)
Oh, the butterfly chandelier/mobile is lovely and the pictures of your sweet little one-JUST ADORABLE!
So adorable. What a sweet room.
Completely adorable. Love the frilly cushions!
I love it! I plan on doing something similar one day. =)
such a sweet, sweet room - so calm and relaxing for a baby. love the pale pink and green. and all the homemade and nostalgic family goodies - so special for your adorable little girl!
Aww, cute as a button! Love the palette and the handmade touches.
This is girly my style. I am not much into the pink, hair, nails, shoes, girly girl. but our daughter is which is great! the natural wood brings a softness into the room with the shades you chose. Excellent job!
