Joel Dewberry's lines of colorful, modern fabrics lend themselves really well to home projects. Great for pillows, an upholstery job on a "statement" chair or even a simple stretched fabric wall art piece, his designs fall into that sweet spot where classic patterns meet a modern color sensibility. Of course, a basic placemat is easy to make, but these have feature a mix of patterns that add some extra homemade goodness and interest to your table while remaining firmly with the realm of do-able, even for those of us with more beginning level sewing skills.
