A while back someone wrote in asking about ideas from other parents for shared rooms. Well, on the heels of our Color Contest, Shannon sent us this vibrant room, shared by her 3 year old John, and 6 year old Isabel. This colorful bed is Ikea.
Shannon tells us the kids actually seem to sleep better in the same room- allowing them to keep their guest room!
We love this shot of the sun-filled room. Shannon says these pictures don't tell "the real story of the room." She says, "You'd have to add about 30 plastic animals scattered around the floor, three or four not right school outfits tossed on the chair, and any assortment of game, puzzle or what-not thrown into whatever clean space was currently available." An honest woman!
Shannon also thinks sharing the room helps the children learn kindness and respect for personal space. Sure, there's fighting at times, but it "requires them to figure it out." She loves walking into their room fo find them quietly asleep in bed.
Check out Shannon's own blog, The Noisy Village to see more pics of her home. Thanks for sharing this great room Shannon!
