Need a hand? Over the years (and years... and years...) our book collection has grown quite large, so bookends are a definite priority when it comes to our library organization. However, just because they are a practical solution, doesn't mean you can't have fun with them...
We love these quirky retro-inspired Blue Metal Hand Bookends by Jonathan Adler. They're part of his recent home office accessory collection created exclusively for Barnes & Noble. What we love most is that they're flat, (so there's no wasted space) and the light blue powder coating adds an unexpected pop of color when viewed from the side. These would look great on an accent shelf or a desk. $12.95 for the pair.
Here are a couple links to some other of our favorite bookends:

love those! Are they in the stores, or just online?
They have them at the stores in my area.
The "fish bowls" are great. I also love these from CB2:

love the flower printed items.
I've just put up a bunch of shelves, so have been trying to decide on bookends. Space is at a premium, so something like the Taj Mahal is out. I'm thinking cheap metal library style accented with monkey benders.
That is SO weird! I haven't looked at bn.com in a couple of years and I just went on today and fell in love with those also!
It's like the bookends are high-fiving each other.
