What would Barbie's home look like if she were a real person? We suspect it would look something like Jonathan Adler's vision he created in this Malibu Barbie Dream House.
This 3,500 square foot Malibu house designed by Jonathan Adler features bold colors, rich fabrics, several nods to great classics (Hello "Nelson Barbie" wall art!). Part of a Mattel promotion in celebration of Barbie's 50th anniversary, the house is a playful tribute to the iconic blond.

It's over-the-top and yet somehow endearing. Now if only they would open it as a museum! To see these photos and more, visit Jonathan Adler's site.

Love it!!
Must have pink poodle statue, now!
This is so crazy . . . Toronto's Bay department store created a Barbie's Dreamhouse showroom earlier this year and who's style did they imitate? Jonathan Adler's! http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2009/04/deconstructing-barbies-dreamhouse/
