Jon's Tiki Themed Room

After a month of focusing on The Great Outdoors, it's time to head back inside. With July 4th rapidly approaching, we thought you might get a kick (and a bit of inspiration) from Jon's tiki themed room...

Jon tells us his home is slated to be featured in an upcoming issue of Atomic Ranch Magazine (and we can see why). He effortlessly mixes Tiki and mid-century modern. Teal bar stools paired with intricately patterned curtains, rug and couch gives our eyes plenty to feast on. The fishing net in the hallway adds an interesting splash of texture. Okay, normally I hate theme rooms, but for tiki I'll make an exception. This place is fabulous.

We had that couch and easy chair when I was a kid! Mom still asks me to look for them when I'm shopping around.

My friend was moving and I scored a chair just like the one in the picture for free! Woot Woot! I can't wait to recover/replace the cushions and paint the frame. I'm thinking glossy red paint will do the trick...
