In case you hadn't heard, it's a little bit easier to get your hands on a Joost invite these days. We've blogged about the new "TV on the net" program, Joost, before but we just got the chance to try it out for ourselves. All-in-all, it's a pretty nice little program, allowing you to watch a variety of television shows right from your computer. It's interface is straightforward and attractive, and even has a chat widgit for you and your friends to chat over what you're watching. We get a bit of lag when we first start up a show, but it quickly recovers and runs flawlessly (so far.)

We're not overly impressed with the programming options right now, but we anticipate it will get better. Right now, you can watch the entire last season of Laguna Beach or some reality shows that we've never seen and probably air on some cable channel at 2am. But we also saw some interesting alternative programming from the Healthy Living channel, Lime. We're not sure about the details for PC compatability, but if you're on a Mac you'll need an intel one to make this work. And, of course, we know you'd probably like to try Joost out for yourself and we're willing to share. We'll personally send out invites to the first 20 commenters that ask and we only request that you return the favor by helping us share Joost with the rest of the AT community.
