Does your child have the Food Network schedule memorized? Is their favorite book "The Joy of Cooking"? Can they actually cook better than you can? Well then, allow us to introduce to you -- and them -- Jr. Chefs of America.

Jr. Chefs of America (JCOA) is, "...a web based kids cooking program, created for kids, hosted by kids." The Jr. Chefs of America Web site offers recipes for all occasions, ingredient substitutions, and the best part is that there are several online "webisodes" which show the site's young chefs cooking.

The junior chefs on the site range in ages from 12-16 and present the recipes in a clear and easy-to-follow manner. There were even a few recipes on the site we wanted to try.

And if your child is not a chef in the making, they can still learn basic skills like cracking an egg, using the microwave, coring a cucumber which may inspire them to do more in the kitchen.
