My son Jude turned two in March and I was also due with my second boy in March! I didn't want to create another nursery, so we are going to reuse that and decided, instead, to create a big boy space for my big boy, Jude!
I love anything striped (I know I'm not alone) and nautical, so that was my "theme." I tried not to stick too hard to the theme, that way the room would be able to grow with my son. Other than the bed of course....that puppy is staying a boat!
I knew I wanted to also include a colorful alphabet somewhere in the room and after searching Pinterest and Etsy I decided to get creative and make something on my own. My advice if you decide to create a nail and string alphabet.....make sure your arm is in shape! That took a lot of nails!

The room looks great! Where did you get the fan and bed set? Do you find the twin is big enough or would you go back and get the full if you could?
I think the twin is big enough, but he's only 2. We've since moved, and his room is much bigger...so if I were to do over, I would probably get the full.
The beds from pottery barn kids, and the fan is by hunter and purchased through amazon.
