It's a common fact that you need to recharge your iPhone or iPod, no matter what. Usually, this involves plugging it into a USB plug or a power plug. Well, there have been quite a number of alternative ways of providing power to your gadgets, just none that was this stylish.

There are a bunch of solar-powered chargers out there, but none of them are as stylish as the Regen ReNu. The solar panel can be used with a few different bases, including the basic iPhone/iPod dock, a sound dock which includes speakers, as well as a LED desk lamp. The panel has got a built-in battery that saves power even when your iPhone/iPod isn't docked. It can also switch over to normal power from a wall socket.

The Regen ReNu is modular, meaning that you can stick the panel, and only the panel, into sunlight so that it charges up. It takes about 9 hours to charge the panel in direct sunlight, and about 20 hours to do so in indirect light. Then you can use the stored energy. A system of two panels would work pretty well to keep you constantly supplied with power. It will be available next year for $200 and it can be pre-ordered from the company's website.
