The renovation was clearly successful in preserving the building's architectural character and mix well with the more contemporary style of furnishings and decor — we're green with envy!
Listed by Sotheby's, the asking price is $11,995,000. Julianne Moore purchased the building in 2003 and converted the 4 unit building back to a private home. You can see the entire listing plus more photos and floor plans at Sotheby's.

COVET!
it is PERFECT.
Love the bathroom with a fireplace! What a treat. :)
sigh. it's fabulous.
Beautiful!
my dream home...
Sublime and I love the Florence Knoll style vanity/sink
It's beautiful but, to me, a bit generic. However, that's probably perfect given that it's staged for a sale.
Wonder what's next? The place before this was great too...
i can't imagine selling anything so perfect...
woah weird bathroom! still though, the whole place is gaw-jus.
but I really liked the place she decorated for Domino a lot better.
The kitchen and the bathroom are amazing. I LOVE the gray walls. How wonderful.

Why God, WHY am I not a trust fund baby so I can buy this house?
So, so beautiful! If I had to nitpick a little, I would say I'm a little bothered by the empty fireplaces - but the kitchen, oh the kitchen! Love love love.
The only thing I could nitpick about is the photography. A little variety would be nice like different angles. It almost appears like the same room has been redecorated 4 times. It looks as if they measured the placement of the camera to the exact inch on every floor to get the same shot towards the windows. Sorry, I know this post isn't about the photography, it just bugs me. It accentuates the narrowness and doesn't convey the feeling of being in the space.
I don't care what city you live in, that kitchen is GINORMOUS!
While the building envelope is nice and traditional, many choices in furnishings and fittings seem somehow cold and lacking in grace, scale and presence in comparison - perhaps it's all the greyish colors and rice-paper lanterns (in a $12MM House?!?!) but it's just not that appealing to me.
I could swear I have seen pictures of her home before and loved it. But here I really didn't find anything interesting or captivating after the first photo. It just seems...blah. Tasteful, but blah. And the kitchen doesn't seem to fit at all.
@ dmstudio: agree about the photography.
This is a very tastefully designed home. Doubt if it's the photography that makes the rooms seem narrow and redundant. The home itself looks just plain narrow, almost like a shotgun house. Also would be a lot nicer if all those fireplaces were functional. They appear to be merely decorative.
Still, it IS a nice place. And that kitchen is the most livable room in it!
I'm with my Trampoline... why is she selling, especially so soon after a renovation, and in this market? I hope! her finances were not tied to a certain fallen investor...
How much for the Art, I love her collection!
Amazing! love that grey on the walls..sigh
I want this place. Why would she sell it? Ack! To have oodles and oodles of money. I want money.
wow. just amazing. so tastefully done.
It's very beautiful.
Take away the personalized decoration, and these rooms are lovely. Those windows are gorgeous and the moulding is tasteful. All that light in NYC is divine. My only complaint is that the kitchen seems squat - perhaps because it's so wide?
Still, and I know it's NYC, but... HOW MUCH??
I'd bet the sale price that the house has been heavily staged. Very possibly repainted and redecorated. Which isn't to say I don't think it's beautiful, just a bit predictable and de-personalized. Still, what I wouldn't give to live there-- exactly as it is in the photos.
Sally305, she was on the cover of Domino for her mad decorating skillz, but I think they featured her assistant's home redecorated on a budget or something? I know I've seen that kitchen and that bedroom rug before....
I love everything except for that gigantic tub right in the middle of the bathroom.
I would like to say that I know the manufacturer of her lights, but I can't. However, I can tell you that my husband refinished her wood floors. He is a co-owner of Centerline Wood Floors. He has contracted to refinish many high end wood floors for celebrity clientele. If anyone is interested in seeing their work, our website is www.centerlinewoodfloors.com.
