Name: June Elizabeth
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
June's room is kind of all over the place. I spent a lot of time on Ohdeedoh checking out all the rooms and ideas and it definitely helped me decide on some of the decor (see the alphabet flashcards?!), but there really wasn't a certain theme I was going for.
The most important thing I wanted out of the room was having a comfortable, stimulating and happy place to hang out with our little gal. I knew I didn't want it to be too girly and pink was definitely out, so we painted it my favorite color blue. After that, I just starting filling the space with a mixture of new, budget friendly items, furniture from around the house, old books, toys and photos from our childhoods, and a few special items that I made myself. We looooove the room and spend plenty of time lounging in there.
Thanks Christine!

Nomade Express Slee...
There is nothing about this room that I don't love.
And I seriously want the owl lamp for my own room!
The stained glass windows are to die for!
Loving that mobile. Where's it from?
What color paint did you use?
Finally - a normal looking kids room. It looks inviting and great, but not like a catalogue. Like!
I love it too. I see some owls and birds, but it doesn't look like super trendy. Well done on a truly personal, realistic room.
Hi... not to sound weird... but by any chance, are you me?
Seriously, June is my favorite girls name and this is exactly how I'd want a kids room to be! Love love love. I'm pretty sure my mom still even has that exact same copy of Peter Pan when I was little and those stained glass windows are to die for!
Hey, guys! Thanks for all the nice comments. I'm so flattered! The owl lamp is from Target online. I believe the paint is Bird Song Blue by Valspar. It's been a while, so I don't really remember. And I made the bird mobile myself from felt, ribbon & an embroidery hoop. I was inspired by a one I saw online that was $70. I believe this one cost less than $10 total. I love how it turned out & June loves to look at it. Making stuff rules!
Love this room!
Where did you find such a great crib, too?
Thanks! The crib is Jenny Lind & I got this one on Amazon, but I've seen them several places. I know it comes in white too.
what about the grilla and the lion pictures???
I got the gorilla & lions here:

Love the room! Quick question- where did you get the awesome little map?! :)
