Just Ordered: Scandinavian Modern

No, we don't need more books. And yes, we just ordered this one, Scandinavian Modern.

We were completely taken in by the cover image - and after a little searching we found a flickr site with photos of some of the interior spreads...and we were sold. How have we missed this title before? It's been out for years and has sold LOTS of copies...Any AT-ers have this book? Thumbs up?

Recently out in paperback, it's $15.56 on Amazon. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Janel!!!! Got to get this book! My bookshelves are hating me right now! Or maybe they're loving me, who knows!

Do you all ever get to the point where you see a post like this and think "that looks so beautiful, I must have it!" and then you start thinking about your collection, and suddenly have a big mix of books with Sweden, Denmark or Scandanavia in the title and you can't remember if you already have it or not? Then I make a vow to at least flip through two or three of my books every day, because I am obviously neglecting them!

I have this book, and I love it. I've had it for years, and still look through it all the time. I'm a big fan of the wall-o-books with big spare desk in front of it theme that seems to run through it. They have a new book out that I'd love to get, too, Scandinavian Country

Scandi mod is great, reminds me of my childhood in the 60's. Lovely book.

I got Scandinavian Country. Like Carlene did, I recommend it to everyone. They sold 80,000 copies of Scandinavian Modern in hardcover, so it says a lot about the quality of the book. It is on my To Buy list.

Ryland Peters & Small is also one of my favorite publishers. I've gotten most of their books from Half Price Books. I bought Scandinavian Living last year from HPB (same book but in hardcover format) for $6.
