With so many iPod/iPhone docks already out in the market, and seemingly a whole catalog of more on the horizon, how does a company have their device stand out from the rest? You can design one that's inconspicuous or engineer arguably the best sounding dock. Or...you can hide it inside a furniture form factor like the JVC NX-BX3.
Inside, the JVC NX-BX3 integrates two 30W speakers with SRS StudioSound HD audio, a 60W amplifier, FM radio mode, auto off feature, and remote control. But the real selling point of the NX-BX3, coming later this month, is you won't have to find a surface to place it, because it's actually housed inside what they call, "furniture audio style". If you hate having too much visual clutter, are hurting for surface space, and like multi-use utility, this might be the iPod dock for you.
Personally, we'll take the Draper Media Console and hide a dock inside instead, as we find the NX-BX3 looks a little too much like those sit-down arcade coin-ups we used to find at the pizza restaurant arcades
