What I Love About My Small Home:
Although this was the smallest of the apartments I looked at when relocating to DC, the light is incredible and makes the place seem way bigger! Every room has a great amount of light, making the apartment airy and refreshing. After adding in some functional pieces of furniture, picked out especially to fit in the space, the apartment really started to become a place to call home.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
Multi-functioning furniture is a must! The most of the major pieces I have double as storage, which is extremely convenient when cabinet and closet space is at a premium.

A round table can really open up a combined living and dining space. Visually, the room will look more spacious, and maneuvering about a round table is much easier in a cramped space.

Keep clutter to a minimum! In a small apartment, it's important to make sure you're not piling up mail and junk on surfaces. A small dining table with a clear top (aside from some decorative pieces) will make a room look more open and inviting than a table collecting every notebook appliance and magazine you've pulled out throughout the week.
