I am a huge fan of Kathryn Ireland, so I was really excited to check out her new book "Summers in France." Flipping through the pages of her book, it's like taking a peek inside her personal photo album. The book includes notes from friends, photos of her kids growing up, sunflower fields, and for design enthusiasts, photos of her farmhouse in the countryside of France.
More than a book of beautiful images, "Summers in France" offers Kathryn's tips on entertaining, decorating guest rooms, and even a few recipes. The book's informal and personal nature makes me feel as if I had actual first hand experience of spending my summers in rural France. "Summers in France" reminds me that I need to let loose and just enjoy life a little more — AND book a trip to Europe this summer!
I also just found out that Kathryn is going to be one of the cast members on Bravo's new show, Million Dollar Decorators. I will be tuning in for sure!

Take a peak? Ah, but which? Mt. Rushmore? Mt. Rainier? Mont Blanc, perhaps.
everyone give Ulrika a pat on the back, she's got mad grammar skills. (rolls eyes)
Her "Creating A Home" book is phenomenal...my hands down favourite design book! I just ordered this one!
Spelling isn't grammar, and when you get paid to write, you should write well. At a minimum that means copy that is correctly spelled and punctuated, yeah. Especially in a blog about *design*. Conflating "peak" and "peek" is as much of an eyesore in printed text as a jumble of visible power cords in a photo meant to show off an eye catching entertainment center is. If how things look matters, then it matters on the page too.
thanks for your double, er, triple correction Ulrika. keep 'em coming!
I have this book; it is beautiful.
Where is 'Take a peak'?
