Name: Katie & Todd
Location: Andersonville — Chicago, Illinois
Todd and I just graduated from undergrad in Boston, and picked up and moved out to the Windy City! This is our first real apartment, and I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the summer at home in New Jersey digging through flea markets and antique barns to get everything just right. We cleaned everything up, and managed to fill this empty apartment with things that make it feel like a home, while not breaking the bank.
Some of the artwork is my own (I repaint vintage travel posters because I can't afford the real thing, but want to be surrounded by them) and a large amount of the rest are screenprinted posters by a Chicago artist I've been a fan of for quite a while.
I also made the comforter on my own. I spent a lot of time looking for something I had in mind, but when I couldn't find it, I was randomly inspired by this fabric, and decided to make a duvet cover out of it.
Overall, I think the apartment has a lot of DIY aspects, and thrifty solutions, while still looking nice.

Thanks, Katie and Todd!

Pretty gorgeous from what I see here. I'd like to see a full tour of this place!
There are plenty of pictures on my blog, you should take a look there (the link is above)!
Can you hear me now? Dont like the painting next to the dinng table either. Visions of wax-on wax-off just lend to it.
