Color Inspiration: We took our color cues from the warm orange of the exposed brick and the numerous plants we have in our home. We wanted the space to feel welcoming and eclectic — and not too homogenous or static — so we pulled in many complementing colors: burnt orange and golden yellow, vibrant green and bright blue. The numerous colors aren't overwhelming because they are done in small moves and work to enhance the industrial features of the space.

Colors Used: Our main paint color move was with the green wall (Color: Green Apple). At night, the color gets a dark glow and actually makes the space more cozy. During the day, with the sun pouring in from the windows, the wall gets slightly washed out and looks like fresh sod.
Color Tip: Mix and match — you never know what goes together. I thought bright green and crayola blue would be awful together but I was pleasantly surprised that the green wall and blue couch work so well in this space.

White Enamel Four-P...
LOVE the color you chose for the wall. Like the whole space, but I'm not a big fan of the 45's on the wall (makes me think of a fake 50's diner decorated with Coca-Cola ads and records). Everything else is great!
I love it! Looks very inviting, and I love the blend of old and new.
This is an incredible room :) I'm so jealous of your beams, old floors and brick walls. I would have never thought of using that shade of green in here, but it really works with the different architectural details. The lighting sets a very homey tone for the room too. Well done!
What an EYE! These colors work perfectly with the brick and wood! Great vision!
This space is so cool that I think just about any color would work well! Gorgeous.
I LOVE IT. So fabulous.
This rocks my world.
My favorite so far. I want to hang out in this room!
Well done! I love this.
This is a wonderful space, and you only made it better with the color you chose. Like robinette, I'm not sure what to make of the random records on the wall, but I love everything else. Thumbs up!
Very nice space.
Really like the accents on the brick wall. How do you hang things on the brick walls?? I NEED to know!
Very nice! Love the place...looks perfect for entertaining.
Although I think pink, purple and seafoam green was a much better choice ; ) heehee
It looks great. Where's Mutt?
Absolutely lovely!
I just wanted to add that this is actually "Katie and Greg's" Room. I don't want him to feel left out!!
Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback! Along with the feedback about the records on the walls... I guess we were just going for a shape (other than rectangular) with some color.. but I can't take credit for the placement of them.. we just hung them on nails that were already in the walls from years and years of previous tenants.. We did hang the 9 squares in the window pane arrangement on the brick though.. I have to ask Greg how he did it.
Thanks Boff. Mutt is hanging with Blossy over in the bed corner.
Dip: I'll sponge paint some unicorns on the wall JUST for you!!
Fun and cozy. I love the sunburst clock.
i love this room! I love have you have the brick wall, with the green ( perfect shade by the way Its fabulous)!!! Oh and awesome lamp!
Bold and beautiful. Love the plants with the green wall!
Love the green wall! It inspires me to make some guacamole...
LOVE IT!!!! Very Soothing. You can decorate any of my rooms any time...:)
the green really pops against the windows and the brick wall. it has a homey, yet modern feel to it. Love it.

this looks amazing, and the colors choices blend in so well together that the apple green wall doesn't look too powerful. i'm in love with the brick wall!!

how is this possibly winning?? this apartment scares me, and if you let me in there with a paintbrush, the first thing i would have gone for are those horrid brown floors (assuming that is paint and not just a really uniform dark wood... oof
i am disillusioned that this didn't win! it's so much more satisfying than either of the current finalists. every choice in this apartment is lovely, but the individual color selections don't cry out for individual attention (except the dominant theme of the green wall, which is the perfect shade), but rather quietly contribute to an overall effect which is cohesive without being overwhelming, warm/cozy without being oppressive/claustophobic, and conscientious/confident without being neurotic/smug.
Same color as my kitchen - i love it!
I am super-late to this party but I wanted to add that I think that the apple green is a thoughtful shade that really pulls out the yellow (orange) tones in the brick. It's a really confident pairing.
Hey Katie...
I am moving into a house with exposed brick. I came across your photo and got really inspired by this green/brick combo. Could you provide me with the brand and name/number of the apple green paint you used? Thanks
Heather
