One of the more entertaining sections of the giant KBIS (Kitchen and Bath) Show in Chicago is the Design Idea Center, put together by five of Meredith's publications. The magazines pull together sample rooms featuring new products, appliances and materials to suit fictional homeowners and show off trends in the industry. We plan to stop by and see the set-ups again this year (we're attending the show next month) but got a sneak preview from Traditional Home to share a bit early since it's bathroom month on AT...jump below for more photos:
The shot above shows the freestanding soaking tub with a tile mural and Murano glass chandelier, the centerpiece of the "ultimate bath suite". The concept here is definitely larger than life - this is one huge bathroom with grand, oversized furniture that would require lots of square footage....but since it's a room for a "faux" couple, we won't hold that against them.
Vanity - the detail of the sconces on the mirrored surface looks fab.
Open Storage - we are definitely not neat enough for this - we need drawers!
The Spa Armoire - this bathroom just may be bigger than our apartment!
In addition to the Traditional Home bath suite, there will be rooms from Better Homes and Gardens, Country Home, Midwest Living and Kitchen and Bath Ideas in the Design Idea Center.
At KBIS, April 10-14 in Chicago.
