Call it the Warby Parker effect, but more companies are letting you test out products at home before you commit. Keap is a Brooklyn-based candle brand that lets you do just that.
The $2.3 billion candle industry is mostly dominated by two extremes: inexpensive, low quality candles with often overpowering scents, or well-made luxury candles at luxury prices. Keap, started by two Google alum, wants to offer a third option.
Keap currently offers four scents—Wood Cabin, Hot Springs, Waves, and Green Market—which you can can try in their Scent-to-Home sampler. For $15, you get a tealight of each candle, and a $15 credit to use toward a full size version with a 50-hour burn time ($35) or their monthly subscription ($28).
