Here are a few examples of parody posters that are available. If you have your own ideas for a sentiment to express, you can create your own version on the KeepCalm-o-matic.
Share your ideas in the comments below!
1 "Freak Out and Throw Stuff" from Earmark on Etsy ($10 for 5 x 7")
2 "Keep Calm and Eat Chocolate" from the keepcalm-o-matic
3 "Now Panic and Freak Out" from Zazzle ($11.20 for 11 x 15", available in other sizes)
4 "Keep Calm and Buy Shoes" from gbposters.com (£24.99 for 12 x 16" framed)
5 Parody calendar from littlebrownpen on Etsy. Unfortunately not available right now, but what a fun idea! Maybe we can get them to reissue it for 2011?

Commercial Flour Sa...
I happen to like (and own) the original. Sorry.
Love it! But I still wouldn't put one on my wall.
I am going to order several of each as gifts!!
My favourite one was "Bloody Hell We're Buggered Now." Very silly. I think it's on etsy somewhere.
I like the parodies, but I don't need to be reminded or given an excuse to freak out and throw stuff, I do that already.
We put several small versions in different colors and in a grouping in our twins nursery to remind us to "keep calm and carry on" when two babies are crying.
I thought the original was awesome several years ago when I hadn't seen it everywhere. The ubiquity of it in house tours made me kinda sick of it. That said, I'd rather have the original than a knockoff. I hate decor that is supposed to be cutesy or funny.
LOL @ funstraw
I'm more likely to hang one of the parodies . . . but think it's probably not a good idea because my children may take it to heart.
This one has got to by my favorite:
http://www.neatorama.com/2010/07/11/word-of-wisdom-from-cobra-kai-keep-calm-and-sweep-the-leg/
I like the calendar -- so funny, esp. the September one. It would be great if they'd re-issue it.
My favorite parody is this rather nerdy one... and it sits proudly on my wall :)

i dig the calendar version.
Does anyone know where I can purchase the parody poster online in Britain as a gift to family there?
got this one from shirt woot the week of the last LOST episode::

I had a "Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake" print in pink a while ago, not sure where it is now.
Don't like the original, and the parodies are equally tiresome.
I just bought a "Freak Out & Throw Stuff" for my husband. He wants to put it up in his office since this is how his coworkers behave anyway.
I like humorous decor.
@lisa_c -LOVE the Doctor Who print.
Personally I like the original print. I have a navy one hanging in my bedroom and it always cheers me up. I don't quite understand why some commenter here get so annoyed by it---sure, it's a popular print here, but really how often do any of us see it in real life?
Still love the original. Wish I owned one.
What is really funny is how people are sick of seeing the originals everywhere, yet the originals were MEANT to be seen everywhere!!! Oh, and I own one as well.
I have the original. I first saw it before it became popular, and finally bought one when everyone had one..sigh. I did print and frame a parody one with it that I printed myself..."Screw Calm / I want my Mommy!" My mom came to visit a few weeks ago, and was quite touched. I may send it to her.
I like the "Keep Calm and Cary Grant" version.
Thank you for featuring our Freak Out and Throw Stuff print! We truly appreciate it Apartment Therapy! :) It is ON SALE in our Etsy shop this weekend too! Happy Holidays - Bridgette (aka Earmark)
I've been wanting one I saw on Etsy that says "Keep Calm and Sew On" (http://www.etsy.com/listing/62159183/keep-calm-and-sew-on-5x7-poster-lime)... a sentiment that I need to remember when I'm freaking out about making more inventory between craft shows.
I saw a tote bag that said "Buy More Shit or We're All Fucked", available from Modern Toss online.
At Empiric we're selling a limited edition FREAK OUT AND SHUT DOWN print. Love all the other versions too!
http://theposterlist.com/
they have a TON of parody posters for this original. i have one that says "keep calm and rock on"
Note: The Now Panic and Freak Out design was first created as a parody by a designer on Threadless and was first printed in 2008 - http://www.threadless.com/product/1466/Now_Panic_and_Freak_Out
Started off as a t-shirt then got a limited edition screenprint which is now sold out.
Zazzle's is the "inspired by" copy. Inspired by a design/slogan that was inspired by the original Keep Calm poster.
Freak Out and Throw Stuff - love it. Must purchase. The calendar is terrific.
I like the Keep Calm - Knit on.
They are great!
Awesome :)
Thank goodness for these - much more realistic, versions. I personally hate the original version. I'm a hater, yup. AND to make matters worse, not only do I see it all over this site but people in SF have it in their homes and offices. Horrendous. Though I wouldn't buy a poster, I think they would be fun greeting cards to send to my bitter and jaded friends. Awww yeah.
So glad to hear I wasn't the only one noticing an overuse of the original. I've gotta find the "we're all buggered" version referenced above - LOL!!!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/ScreamPrinting
...but is it really being overused?
I think it depends on where you live. I have never, not once, seen one in real life. Sure, AT has them all over. Perhaps some edgy big cities do as well...but I think the vast majority of people don't even know the print.
I don't have one...but am seriously considering getting one soon.
...and the parodies are hilarious!
@lisa_c: Yes! That is the best.
they're not funny enough... we at AP should be able to come up with something better
I reached out to the Etsy seller, and they have a 2011 version of the calendar, it's just listed in another shop:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/62815167/keep-calm-and-send-up-2011-printable
Haha. I have the original, but I also have the "Eat a cupcake, Then eat another," parody in my kitchen. I love cupcakes!
http://www.trendhunter.com/photos/81472/1
Ooo I like that Cupcake one awsmg33k! I may have to get that!
Here in Australia I saw one recently that said 'Keep calm and stop carrying on', which raised a smile.
One of my friends made one that says "Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy" which is a reference lost on most I think.
I am a hater - both of the original and of these. I hate all posters/art/graphics that tell me to 'do' anything. I have enough people telling me what to do in life (even my cat sasses me), that I don't need some inanimate object to do that too.
I also don't know anyone personally that has any of these...and most haven't even heard of them. (including original)
I would like to see "Keep Calm Verizon Wireless is on the Way for iphone"
"Here in Australia I saw one recently that said 'Keep calm and stop carrying on', which raised a smile."
Good one!
MIT had a version up this past weekend at the gym that said "Wear Deodorant and Make Friends"
...I personally loved it!
I like this parody: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63363366/keep-calm-and-carrion-buzzard-11x14
Do they make bumper stickers? Really makes me want to shout GET SOME REAL ART and make a poster out of that!
Hahaha I love the Sept saying "Wear boots & pretend it's cold"... My husband always makes fun of me for wearing boots and a scarf in early fall.
The "keep calm and carry on" signs are bad, but not as bad as realtor photos of kitchens displaying signs that read "cucina." Yes, yes, I *know* it's the kitchen, dammit.
I like the original. It is classic, its origins were serious, and it makes me happy. But calm, mind.
I agree with MissHeliotrope! I have the print on a teatowel which is hanging on my wall, and I've never seen one in real life either. Everyone who sees it comments on how nice it is. The parodies are a bit tiresome, though, thanks to the generator. Oh well!
Maybe a 'Keep Calm and Drink Tea' poster is in my future. I think my boyfriend's gotten me one for Christmas.
I have one at my desk at work because I work in the really really REALLY mad customer tech support queue.
I wonder if everyone who has the original poster on their wall knows its story. I spotted one in an AT house tour of a German flat - no problem with that at all, of course, but it did seem rather funny! Also, I'm not sure I like the sentiment for everyday use (as opposed to mid-invasion). Quite often I think "Stop for a minute and think about it" would be a much better suggestion. All that said, my "Keep calm, you're only 30" birthday card was appreciated!
I intended to make some for my friends for Christmas = but couldn't locate the 'stencils' for the different categories!!!?? Keep Calm and ... Paint On, Date On, Eat Cake, Laugh On, etc
Personally, I think these parodies are funny because the original meme has grown tiresome. If the keeping calm poster works for you, please don't take offense. Go for it. For me, I can't help but think of this in its original context, a piece of simple propaganda designed to buck up the spirits of Brits during the awful days of the Blitzkrieg. There's the crown to remind one of king and country. When this poster started making the rounds again, I just saw it as an elegant bit of nostalgia. Now, it's freaking everywhere, and I'm sick of it. Plus, I'm not British, and the fascists are not dropping bombs on my neighborhood. I have little problems to deal with each day of course, but for me it would be a bit egocentric to compare my son throwing a temper tantrum to the Nazis invading. I'm just saying...

I can't believe you didn't include my favorite one: "Get Excited and Make Things!"
like here: http://www.20x200.com/art/2009/04/get-excited-and-make-things.html
At this point, the parodies are just as played out as the original.
I much prefer the parodies. My personal favorite (which I think may only exist on a tshirt from thinkgeek.com) is Don't Panic and Carry a Towel, but the Doctor one and the Freak Out and Throw Stuff are pretty awesome as well!
Perhaps its because I am a Brit that I find the parodies better than the original. I like the original as much as I like seeing people hang the Union Jack (yes Jack - not flag) the wrong way on walls, cover chairs with it, and make cushions from. Not cool.
My husband brews beer, and we drink beer like most drink water (healthy, no?!). So I have, in tangerine orange from Etsy, "Keep Calm and Drink Beer." Hanging next to our bar.
"Maybe we can get them to reissue it for 2011?"
Keep the money and create one yourself.
I totally ordered 4 parody ones from Etsy a few months back... for my husband "Keep Calm & Drink Beer" (in the kitchen), for my desk at work "Keep Calm & Tweet On", for our bedroom "Keep Calm & Love On" and for the living room "Keep Calm & Travel On". May have been overboard, but they're mixed in with several other pieces in each room so I don't think it's overwhelming. Besides $10 each is cheap art ;)
I made my own versions for my tumblr & as gifts for college aged family for their dorm rooms, KEEP CALM AND SHAG WATSON & KEEP CALM AND WATCH SHERLOCK and a couple equally nerd friendly Dr. Who and Dorothy Parker & Anais Nin ones as well. I like the sounds of the buggered one however.
"Discover Product Design (DPD) is a week-long MIT pre-orientation program which aspires to introduce incoming first-year students to product design. One of DPD's goals is for its participants to learn to appreciate the world around them through small projects designed to reveal a variety of perspectives within product design.
The posters in this album were designed by this year's students. The coordinators wanted to challenge the students to think creatively while working within given constraints. The students were shown the original 1939 "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster and were given an hour to jot down ideas and sketches for MIT-oriented posters inspired by the original."
See the cool posters in this album!

I love the original, own the original (in orange) and love seeing it in peoples' homes. I love the parodies, too. I'm glad I'm not the kind of person who takes down my wall-art just because other people find it "tiresome" or "overplayed." It nice to be reminded that It's Not The End Of The World. :)
Two Christmases ago, I created "Keep Calm and Merry On" for my Christmas card. Last year I put it up on Zazzle, and this year my best friend published a book about Christmas movies (Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas) and wore my t-shirt on his book tour. So I'm biased, but I still like the original and the things that can be done with it.

i love the parodies as much as the original one:
i have a huge version of "Keep Calm and Carry On" over my bed that i got the courage to bring from Canada (out of the suitcase and through the flight cause it didnt fit on my suitcase) and my boyfriend has the "Keep Calm and Rock On" on his place <3
For mid-century modern & Eames rocker lovers "Keep Calm and Rock On":

I had some fun with this Keep Calm generator, making ridiculous posters. Could be fun for silly inside joke-y, personalized gifts for friends.
http://www.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/
Who hates "Keep Calm and Carry On?" I love the history of the text and I find it timeless advice. I teach undergrads and in the midst of finals...it seems relevant to me!!
As a middle-aged Brit - I find this parody rather odd. Keep calm... etc is not a phrase we ever use over here. Similarly no-one eats muffins for breakfast and we don't go round saying "gawd blimey guvner"
Hands down this zombie-centric "Keep Calm and Shoot Them in the Head" version is my fav parody-

What about the "Hide Ya Kids Hide Ya Wife" parody? I can't be the only one acquainted with this gem...

Ack, forget to post the link properly: Hide Ya Kids Hide Ya Wife
Apparently I should have printed and sold my version on Etsy years ago...oh well.

lol @ piranesi-- totally the best parody
I love my Keep Calm poster LOVE IT .
I even got a tattoo on my wrist that says "Keep Calm (om symbol) Carry On. ;)
I also love the parodies. Very fun.
People can bitch and moan about the poster all they want--- it's a classic. I bet the same ppl complain about Saarinen tables. LOL
