When it comes to home office organization, things can get tricky if you have an unconventional desk or are short on space. Instead of figuring out how to stuff things in drawers, try displaying them instead with a simple spice rack.
The fine folks over at Redbook suggest this method of storage for all sorts of small things around the home. Maybe it's your home office, or possibly your craft room. Either way, small jars and fun spinner racks can be just the stylish option for displaying your goods without being an eyesore.

White Enamel Flatwa...
I turned my old spice rack into a "science lab" for my toddler. She loves to pick up small things when we take walks and by keeping them in the jars, she gets to keep her treasures and I don't have piles of rocks and seeds and sticks all over my house.
This is genius! And so is Korabee's use of those spice jars! I'll do it today for shure.
Great idea Korabee!
I wish I had an actual craft room with shelves. This would be wonderful for my beads, and make them more visible and accessible than the plastic storage boxes I use now so I can tuck them away neatly. But I'd need forty of these, at least!! (I have lots of beads.)
I think this is the spice rack shown in the post. It's by RSVP International, 16-bottle revolving spice rack. About $50.00

Also available at other retailers like Epicurious.
Awesome idea. I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of it myself. I can't wait to do this in our office/spare room!
A few responses to the comments: I imagine the point was to re-purpose, versus buy new. Obviously not everyone has a glass jar spice rack, but it certainly made me excited to use up (may just pitch since it's old) the rest of the fennel and other random left overs I have in my old set. But if you can't find them at a resale shop, you may want to check tj maxx or marshalls for a rack (I've seen some very nice ones there--maybe not identical--for much less).
@SherryBinnh: you may want to look for a hanging spice rack. (Again, TJ Maxx/Marshalls is likely to have them if not at a resale shop.) With beads in bright colors you're sure to have it would be stunning as functional wall art!
It's better as an office organizer. What part of keeping spices in a 'cool, dark place' don't people get?
Absolutely brilliant. And with our spice rack, I lost the "free refill" paperwork. So thanks for this consolation prize, LOL! (Also Yonella, good point).
